Our Mission

In honor of the late Matthew Barba who died on December 16, 2016, a foundation has been dedicated to providing essential resources to people in recovery. The goal of Matt’s Homestead, is to raise awareness about the disease of addiction and help individuals continue their journey of recovery. All of the foundation’s funds will support those battling addiction. Matthew fought addiction and was passionate about helping others in early recovery.

Individuals may apply for assistance from the foundation to help secure essential resources such as, bus passes, clothing, toiletries, assistance with treatment and living arrangements, etc.

The foundation will continue to raise awareness about the disease of addiction in Matthew’s memory. All applications will be screened and assistance will vary by need.
